Tizzy’s Movie Review: Quantum of Solace

November 17th, 2008 by Tizzy

quantum-of-solace.jpgJames Bond makes an explosive return in “Quantum of Solace”.  Starting from where “Casino Royale” left off, Daniel Craig continued to play both the suave and tough sides of Bond very well.  His goal in this film is to seek revenge for the death of his love in “Royale”, and nothing will stop him until he gets the job done.

Right from the top you know this movie will be jam packed with action.  From high speed car chases to being flying sequences to fighting at the opera, Bond never quits.  And that’s it - the action never stops.  This was the first movie I’ve seen in a long time where there was no real emotional storyline to follow.  It was pretty much just all action and new gadgets, which is what I think Bond fans want to see, along with the new eye candy.

The new Bond girl Camille, played by Olga Kurylenko, could hold her own.  Her stunning beauty fit the bill.  She also had the same motives as Bond, except with a different person, so their similar goals made them a great team.

Who to take to this movie: guys who like seeing things blow up

Don’t see this movie if: you want more than just a shoot ‘em up flick

Overall rating: 2 1/2 snaps
